Floorplan Schematic
A Store Plan can display a schematic -- an architectural floorplan or store drawing -- underneath its sections. Once the image is scaled correctly, sections can be dragged directly onto the walls, doors and departments of the real store, which makes a layout far easier to build and to check.
The schematic is background only. It is never exported as part of a Plan, and it does not affect measurements, reports or 3D -- it is a tracing guide.
Adding a Schematic Image
Open the Schematic tab of the Store Plan panel and click photo_library Choose Image. Images are picked from your site's schematic image library, the same way other customer images are managed, so a floorplan uploaded once can be reused across every Store Plan for that store.
Setting the Scale
An image on its own has no real-world size, so you must tell GoPlanogram how large it is. Beneath the preview is a single sentence to complete: In this image, [ N ] pixels equals one [ unit ], where the unit may be feet, meters, inches, centimeters or millimeters.
The reliable way to fill it in:
- Find something in the drawing whose true length you know -- a marked wall, a door, a dimension line, or a scale bar.
- Measure that feature in pixels, using any image editor or viewer that shows pixel coordinates.
- Divide the pixel length by the real length in your chosen unit. A wall measuring 600 pixels that is known to be 30 feet long gives 20 pixels equals one foot.
The canvas updates as you type, so you can check the result immediately: drop a section of known width onto the drawing and confirm it spans the space it should. If everything is uniformly too large or too small, the scale number is wrong; adjust and re-check.
Opacity
The Opacity slider fades the schematic from fully visible down to invisible. Lowering it keeps the drawing readable as a guide without competing with the sections on top of it. Opacity affects only how the image is drawn on the canvas.
Removing a Schematic
Remove Schematic clears the image from the Store Plan after a confirmation. Sections are not moved -- they stay exactly where you placed them, simply without the drawing underneath.
