Bars
dry_cleaning Bars are fixtures that attach to shelves Racks and hold items, typically widgets Product Positions, but also sub-fixtures, like inventory_2 Containers or shelves Sub-Racks.
A Bar can be created via add_box Insert > dry_cleaning Bar (via context or header menu). Pressing "Q" creates a Bar at the cursor location.
Properties
A Bar's properties can be edited by double-clicking it, or via Right Click > info Properties.
As with most fixtures, Bars support Layouts for automatic content alignment. Bars support None, Left, Right, Even, and Hooks layouts -- see the Fixture Layouts page for a full description of each.
The special Hooks Layout defines finite valid snap points on the Bar for widgets Product Positions. These Positions will have their phishing Hook inferred from this Bar's Hook Defaults (more below)
For some layouts, Spacing defines the horizontal space left between each item when its content is laid out.
The Hook Length input allows you to specify the default hook length for items affixed to this Bar.
If the phishing checkbox is checked, you can instead specify an exact default Hook for items on this Bar.
If this Bar is using the Hooks Layout, all predetermined Hooks on the bar use this Hook Length / Hook default.
Normally every station on a Hooks Bar uses the same hook, the one set in Hook Defaults above. Check Hook Per Station to choose a different phishing Hook for each one instead.
You get one dropdown per station, numbered left to right to match the Bar. Each offers:
- Bar default -- use the Bar's own Hook. This is what every station does when the box is unchecked.
- None -- leave that station empty. No hook is drawn and nothing can hang there.
- Any Hook in your library, listed alphabetically.
This is how a single fixture carries mixed pegs: two short hooks then two long ones, say, or a deliberate gap in the middle. It stays one Bar with one SKU, which keeps fixture counts honest -- you do not need a separate fixture for each arrangement.
# Hooks still decides how many stations there are; this only says what sits on each. Changing the hook count adds or removes dropdowns without disturbing the ones already set. Unchecking the box returns every station to the Bar's default.
If a Hook used here is later deleted, those stations fall back to the Bar's default rather than breaking.
The Bar's fill color.
Some sites can also give a Bar an image fill instead of a color. When that is enabled, a Color / Image toggle appears above the Fill input. A chosen image tiles across the Bar by default; check Stretch to have it fill the Bar instead. Contact your site administrator if you need this enabled.
If checked, if this Bar is vertically aligned with other Bars of the same Layout, they will be treated as one, and the layout will account for the entire length of all Bars.
Editing Multiple Bars
If multiple Bars are selected, you can edit their info Properties through the same dialog.
Use the content_copy Propagate checkbox buttons to declare a change to a property should be applied to all selected Bars.
Dragging Over Bays
When multiple dragging Bars over shelves Bays, they will all snap to the Bay the cursor is over.
For each dragging Bar to snap to the Bay it is dragged over instead, , hold the Alt key while dragging.
